Dorothy Mae Mathis died Monday, May 7, 2007, after a lengthy illness. She was 81.
Mathis was born Feb. 17, 1926, at Turkey Ford to Roger and Hazel (Ray) Blois. She graduated from Wyandotte High School and attended Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College. She was a lifetime resident of Ottawa County.
She married Earl E. Mathis on April 14, 1946, in Columbus, Kan. He survives, of the home.
Additional survivors include three sons and their wives, Joe and Pam Mathis of Fairland, Gary and Sue Mathis of Charleston, Mo., and Tom and Elaine Mathis of Northport, Ala.; two sisters, Nadine Watts and husband Leonard of Miami, and Delores Oleskevich of Durango, Colo.; nine grandchildren, Rick, Steve, Charla, Jason, Kelly, Krissy, Brent, Callie, and Alexa, and six great-grandchildren, Braeden, Kayla, Kyle, Megan, Jenna, and Alyssa.
She was preceded by her parents and one brother, Elroy Blois.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Fairland Cemetery with Brad Stogsdill officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Adcock Funeral Home Chapel in Fairland.
