Timothy Doherty May of Santa Cruz, Calif., died Sunday, July 15, 2007, at his residence. He was 39.
Mr. May was born Nov. 8, 1967, in Grove to Thomas Haller May and Kathleen (Howells) May. He graduated from Miami High school in 1985 and graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1989 where he was a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity. He lived in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, and Seattle, Wash., before moving to the “Silicon Valley.”
He worked as a juvenile supervisor, an investigator and a professional fishing guide. He later worked in information technology at the University of California at Santa Cruz.
He married Julianne Russak on Oct. 2, 2004, in Santa Cruz. She survives.
Additional survivors include two children, Harrison Timothy and Thomas Michael; his mother of Cremona, Alberta; his father of Monkey Island; two brothers and their wives, Tony and Chandelle May of New Castle, Colo., and Hal and Marie May of Orlando, Fla., and one nephew, Bryson, of Orlando, Fla.
Services will be noon Friday at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Santa Cruz. Burial will be in Santa Cruz Memorial Cemetery.
The wake service will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday at the Pacific Gardens Chapel in Santa Cruz, with a prayer vigil starting at 6:30 p.m.
