Fern Lee Rhodes of Miami died Monday, Oct. 6, 2008, in Miami after an illness. She was 93.
Mrs. Rhodes was born Dec. 18, 1914, in Hoffman to Sherman and Lucretia (Penington) Howk. She lived in Miami for four months, moving from Henryetta where she lived for 90 years.
She worked as a nurse's aide at Fountain View Nursing Home, retiring at 75. She was a member of Freewill Baptist Church in Henryetta.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, James Crawford and Oliver Rhodes; her parents, five brothers and one sister.
Survivors include four grandchildren and their spouses, James and Janice Early of Strang, Eric and Shelly Early of Afton, Charlotte and Patrick Pulley and Lizabeth Wakefield, both of Miami; 13 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Services was 10 a.m. today at Freewill Baptist Church in Henryetta. Burial will be in Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens in Miami at 4 p.m. today.
Family and friends will be pallbearers.
