Russelyn Jo “Lana” LaFalier of Picher died Friday, Nov. 23, 2007, at her home after an illness. She was 56.
Mrs. LaFalier was born May 17, 1951, in Miami to Russell Sheehan and Naomi LaVern (McNeely). She lived in the Picher area most of her life.
She was a retired nurse.
Survivors include three daughters, Stephanie Vangilder of Columbus, Kan., Debra Battenfield of Orlando, Fla., and Marius Kimbrough of Joplin, Mo.; one son, Ernest Lee LaFalier of Bluejacket; one brother, James Darrel Pickel; special friend, John Smith of the home, 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007, at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Picher, Okla. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Melrose, Kan.
Casketbearers will be Larry Vangilder, Tom Smith, Dana Smith, Chad Duplantis and Caleb Kimbrough. Honorary casketbearer will be Mike Vilamaria.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Picher.
