Carolyn S. McKibben of Wyandotte died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007, at St. Johns Regional Medical Center in Joplin, after a short illness. She was 72.

Mrs. McKibben was born May 13, 1940, in Neosho, Mo., to Robert William and Nellie Fern (Moreland) Surridge. She lived in the area all her life. She worked as a teller for the former State Bank of Seneca, Mo., and worked as a secretary for the former B. Brite Agency also in Seneca. She was a member of the Seneca Church of Christ.

She married Howard McKibben on March 17, 1984, in Miami. He survives.

Additional survivors include one son, Lyndon McKibben of Wyandotte; three daughters, Glenda Jean Cohen and Drenda Jean McKibben-Coelho, both of New York City, N.Y., and Brenda Jean Hacker of Albany, N.Y.; one brother, Paul Surridge of Seneca; two sisters, Pasty Chester and Anna Henery, both of Seneca, and five grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m., Monday, at the Seneca Church of Christ with Minister Peter Persson officiating. Burial will be in Seneca Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Thomas McKibben, Trenton Wilson, Seth Wilson, Marvin Chester, Don Chester and Jerry Chester.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., Sunday at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home.

The family will be staying at the family home or at the home of Lyndon and Phyllis McKibben.
