Norma Lee Smith of Miami died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007, at her home. She was 79.

Mrs. Smith was born Feb. 24, 1928, in Miami to Ernest and Freda (Rice) Budy. She attended one semester at Overland Park, Kan., Bible College in 1945. She moved to Fresno, Calif., in 1946.

She worked in the billing department of United Grocer in Fresno for three years. She also did alterations for several local businesses with Wardrobe Cleaners being the last.

She married Bob G. Smith on Oct. 15, 1949, in Okmulgee. He preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include one son, Leland Eugene Smith of Lexington; one daughter and her husband, Pamela Marie and Howard Barman of Houston, Texas; three grandsons, Ricky R. Smith, Tyler Ethan Barman and Zachary Hunter Barman, and one great-granddaughter, Audrey Barman.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at New Life Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Casey Hollingsworth will officiate.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home of Miami.
