Bessie Louise Ross of Commerce died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007, at her home after an illness. She was 74.

Mrs. Ross was born Dec. 4, 1932, in Monarch to Luther Freeman and Iva Mae (Armstrong) Coach. She lived in Picher most of her life.

She worked at Glen Berry Manufacturing in Commerce for several years. She was a member of Treece Baptist Church.

She was married to Jack Ross. He survives, of the home.

Additional survivors include four sons, Jack Ross of Miami, Rick Ross of Picher, Larry Ross of Vinita and Randy Ross of Baxter Springs, Kan.; one daughter, Lea Ann Thomure of Commerce; two brothers, Kenneth Coach of Miami and Jerry Coach of Picher; four sisters, Loretta Evans of Baxter Springs, Kathren Koger of Miami, Betty Bayliss of Commerce and Linda Coach of Miami, seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Greenlawn Cemetery Northwest of Treece, Kan. Christy Bowers will officiate. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery northwest of Treece, Kan. Pallbearers will be Jerry Coach, Johnnie Coach, Mike Koger, Heath Ross, Dustin Osborne and Travis Stand. Honorary palllbearers will be Timmy coach, Bruce Evans, Dillon Mills and Bobby Evans. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Picher.
