Paul V. Hale of Miami died Friday, July 27, 2007, at integris Baptist Regional Health Center after a short illness. He was 92.

Mr. Hale was born may 25, 1915, in Crocker, Mo., to Guy M. and lela (Moore) Hale. He graduated from Midway High School in Newtonia, Mo.

During World War II, Mr. Hale served in the Air Force. He was honorably discharged in 1946 after three years of service.

Mr. Hale married E. Louise Rose on Nov. 29, 1940, at the Methodist Parsonage in Joplin, Mo. She survives, of the home.

He retired as a foreman from B.F. Goodrich after 31 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion and the First United Methodist Church in Miami. He enjoyed attending auctions and reading.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Debra Jan Hale in 1976; one brother, Gordon Hale and one sister, Lela Francis hale.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the G.A.R. Cemetery gazebo with the Rev. Carole Minter officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Floyd L. Perry American Legion Post No. 147 Veterans Funeral Detail. Burial will follow at a later date at the Jolly Cemetery, southwest of Pierce City, Mo..

Services are under the direction of the Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home in Miami.
