William Ray Basore, 70, of Miami, Okla., passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012, at his home, with his family at his side.
William was born Jan. 6, 1942, at Rich Hill, Mo., to Claude and Doris (Lacy) Basore. He was a truck driver for many years, before retiring.
He is survived by his mother, Doris; his wife, Linda; two sons, Mark Hemphill and his wife, Jolynn of Miami, and Vince Basore and his wife, Terri of Tulsa; one daughter, Michelle Milford and her husband, Jackie of Miami; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four brothers, Bob Basore of Linn Valley, Kan., Gary Basore of Ft. Scott, Kan., Jack Basore of Kansas City, Kan., and Ronnie Basore of Pleasanton, Kan.; one sister, Betty Maschler of Pleasanton, Kan.; many other loving relatives; and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; one daughter; one grandson; and one brother.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 22, 2012, at the Thomas Funeral Home, Welch, Okla. Serving as pallbearers will be Mitchell Hemphill, Justin Arnold, Tyson Arnold, Brent Basore, Donnie Basore, and Brian Basore.
Interment at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 22, 2012, at the Pleasanton City Cemetery, Pleasanton, Kan.
