Oliver “Art” Kasler of Joplin, Mo., died Sunday, May 6, 2007, at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin after a sudden illness. He was 69.

Kasler was born June 1, 1940, in Tulsa to Free and Ester Kasler.

He was a Vietnam War veteran serving two tours in the Marine Corps.

He owned and operated Airco Service in Bartlesville and was of the Bahai Faith.

He married Sharon Miller on Dec. 19, 1981, in Anaheim, Calif. She survives.

Additional survivors include nine daughters, Terry Jean Pyson and Christy Hartranft, both of the state of Colorado, Christi Issaac and Lori Dawn McCoome, both of the state of Nebraska, April Doolittle and Connie Pickens, both of Seneca, Robin Burruss and Kathleen Burruss, both of Joplin, and Jennifer Kasler of the state of George; one sister, Irma McIntire, and one brother, Free S. Kasler, both of the state of Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Norman Kasler.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Seneca Cemetery with Thomas Kasler officiating.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home in Seneca.
