Elvina Ratzloff, formerly of Afton, died Friday, Aug. 18, 2007, at Mt. Carmel Medical Center in Pittsburg, Kan. She was 92.

Mrs. Ratzloff was born Feb. 3, 1915, in Fairview to Henry and Lena (Kahn) Boehs.

She married Fred Ratzloff on Sep. 16, 1934, in Kismet, Kan.  He preceded her in death on Sep. 27, 1979.

The couple moved to Afton in 1956, coming from Ringwood. She worked as an assembler at Cinch Manufacturing in Vinita, retiring in 1982.

Also preceding her death was a son, Ray Dean Ratzloff, a daughter, Frances Schmelling, a brother, Dave Boehs, and a sister, Deanna Franz. 

She is survived by two sons and their wives, Archie and Marsha Ratzloff of Tulsa, Larry and Thelma Ratzloff of Lathrop, Mo., two daughters and their husbands, Norma and Ted Davidson of Ringwood, and Ruth and Fred Coble of Pittsburg, 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be at 2 p.m., Monday at Adcock Funeral Home in Afton. Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Davidson, Gene Schmelling, Tom Ratzloff, Tony Ratzloff, David Cashmore,Todd Christian, Jeff Schmelling and John Davidson.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon Monday until service time. Burial will be at Ballard Cemetery in Bernice.
