George Marshall Wallace died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, with his wife in an automobile accident in Glenpool.
He was 60.
Mr. Wallace was born Jan. 28, 1947, in Fort McPherson, Ga., to Col. Ernest and Gladys (Davis) Wallace. He graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1965 and Oklahoma State University in 1969 and the Army Engineer School at Fort Belvor, Va.
He was a member of the Army Reserves.
He joined the Tulsa Police Department in 1970, retiring in 1996 as a corporal.
He married Cathy Moneymaker in 1970.
He married Rhonda Hasty in December, 1988. She preceded him in death in 1992.
He married Gwendolyn “Sue” Bunny in December, 1995, in Las Vegas. She died with him as a result of the accident.
Survivors include one daughter, Jessica A. Wallace of Ozark, Mo.; one son, John R. Wallace of Springfield, Mo.; one stepdaughter, Sally Miller of Mounds; his parents, of Wyandotte; one brother and his wife, Wayne and Eileen Wallace of Wyandotte; one sister and her husband, Peggy and James Curtis of Atlanta, Ga., and four cousins who were raised as siblings, Bill Wilson and wife Patty of Las Vegas, Nev., John Wilson of Oklahoma City., Pat Grubb and husband Sam of Miami and Brenda Wilson of Miami.
Services are 10 a.m. today. at the Church on the Move in Tulsa. Burial will be in Wyandotte Cemetery.
