Dick Diaz Fuller passed away on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008 after a long illness. Dick was boren on May 1, 1922, to Jefferson Franklin and Mary Lou Fuller in Heavener.
Dick was a World War II veteran and Pearl Harbor survivor; he was a true hero. He was a retired B.F. Goodrich worker and after retiring, spent a lot of time on Grand Lake as an avid fisherman.
Dick was a good Christian and a true man of faith. He was an avid churchgoer and was a member of the First Christian Church of Fairland for 40 years. He would always greet people with a smile and make sure they were doing okay. If they were feeling down, he would tell a joke or funny story to help lift them up.
Dick was preceded in death by his son, David Fuller. He is survived by his wife, Betty Fuller; his sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Kerrie Fuller and Mike and LeeAnn Fuller; his daughter-in-law, Kathy Fuller; his daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Joe Shelton, and many grandkids and great grandkids.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Fairland.
