H. Kelley Crownover of Miami died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010, in Joplin, Mo. He was 84.

Mr. Crownover was born June 6, 1925, in Calumet to Herald and Nellie (McGraw) Crownover. He lived in Bluejacket before moving to Miami in 1955.

He worked for B.F. Goodrich for more than 39 years until his retirement. He was a longtime member of Community of Christ Church and a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association.

He married Dolores Nigh on Nov. 18, 1945, in the Bluejacket-Ottawa County area. She survives, of the home.

Additional survivors include one daughter, Darla Bachman of Miami; one son and his wife, Eric and Kathy Crownover of Miami, two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Community of Christ Church. Pastor Richard Adams will officiate. Burial will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami.

Pallbearers include Kyle Bachman, Guthrie Marray, Gustin Williams, Keith Harrison, Eric Crownover and Shawn Henderson.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home.
