Lottie Mary Schoenhals of Joplin, Mo., died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, at St. Johnís Regional Medical Center following an illness. She was 82.
Mrs. Schoenhals was born July 28, 1927, in Lincolnville to Patrick H. and Artie D. (Elkins) Hickey.
She was a homemaker and a born again Christian. She was a member of the Empire Mission Church in Galena, Kan.
She married Lloyd L. Schoenhals on October 17, 1943, in Picher. He preceded her in death on June 18, 1989.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Harold M. Schoenhals on Feb. 25, 1989, and one daughter-in-law, Ellen Schoenhals on July 22, 2009.
Survivors include two sons, John Lee Schoenhals Sr. of Quapaw and Lloyd Wayne Schoenhals and his wife Donna of Miami; two daughters, Debi McCoy and husband Floyd of Quapaw and Beverly Miner of Webb City, Mo.; 15 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. today at Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Chapel in Joplin. William Fields will officiate. Burial will be in Baxter Springs (Kan.) Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Empire Mission Church in Galena in care of the mortuary.
