Robert John Baker of Grove died Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, at his home. He was 71.
Mr. Baker was born March 8, 1939, in Nanticoke, Pa., to Edward and Cecelia (Wisnieski) Baker. He moved to Grove in 1982.
He had worked for Atlas Chemical in Joplin, Mo., for 20 years, retiring in 1984. He helped with Camp Quality teaching the children to make fishing lures and lures into earrings.
He married Sue Warden on Nov. 1, 1969, in Joplin. She survives.
Additional survivors include three sons, Robert Baker Jr., Christopher Baker and wife Amy and Matthew Baker; four daughters, Ellen McKenzie, Teresa Cook, Lisa Akuna and husband Dr. Bruce Akuna and Racheal Baker; one adopted daughter, Debbie Greenhaw; two brothers, Ed and Ted Baker; two sisters, Sylvia Lasecki and Ann Hughes; 17 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Frances Baker.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.
