David Berry Jackson, 82 of Stillwater, died on June 25, in Stillwater. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday June 29, at the Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Frank Kinast and Dr. Norman Richmond officiating burial will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery. Strode Funeral home is in charge of the arrangements.

David was born on Feb. 10, 1928 in Fairland, Oklahoma to Berry Jackson and Earl Ora Cain. He Married Betty Jean Handley on Dec. 21, 1946 in Columbus, Kan. She preceded him in death on Feb. 4, 2009.

In the early 1950s David attended Naval training at Great Lakes, and then did Medical Technology training at Gradwohl School of Laboratory Technique in St. Louis, Missouri from 1953-1954. David was also a member of the American Medical Technologists for more than 50 years. He worked in Cushing and at the Oklahoma State University Student Health Center throughout his career. David was a Mason and a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

David is preceded in death by his parents and wife. Surviving is his only child, son, Lee Jackson of Stillwater.

Pallbearers are Andy Longoria, Dale Randolph, Thomas Hansen, M.D., Kent Elsener, Lee Jackson and Tom Huffman. Honorary Pallbearers are Corky Handley, Ward McGorder and Nathan “Bud” Payne.
