Ellis Ray Bryant, a lifetime resident of Fairland, died June 21, 2010 at his home. He was 69.
He was a retired heavy equipment operator doing road maintenance for the Ottawa County District 3.
He was a member of the Long Assembly of God Church east of Miami and served as a deacon for several years.
He was born Jan. 9, 1941, to Charles and Flossie (Phillips) Bryant.
He married Donna Wyrick June 2, 1961, in Fairland. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife Donna, of the home, two sons: Donald Bryant, of Fairland, Ronald Bryant and wife Jill, of Fairland, one brother: James (Slick) Bryant and wife Barbara of Fairland, four sisters: Thelma Koger, of Pocatella, Ida., Dorothy Brannan and husband Harold, of Claremore, Okla., Juneda Whiteley and husband Jack, of Carthage, Mo., Sharon Pathkiller, and husband Warren, of Miami, Okla., two grandchildren: Erica Bryant and Mark Bryant, of Fairland.
Services will be at 2 p.m.,Thursday, June 24, 2010 at the Long Assembly of God Church east of Miami with the Revs. Harold Brannan and Mike Younger officiating.
Internment will follow in the Fairland Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be David Wilmoth, David Glenn, Beebe Mitchell, Donnie Higinbotham, Joe Clapp and Arno Graves.
A visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at the Adcock Funeral Home in Fairland.
Services are under the direction of Roland Adcock, Adcock Funeral Home in Fairland.
