Ken was born in Galveston, Texas, on Jan. 15, 1949, to Kenneth Sutton Sr. and Betty (Giles) Sutton of Miami, Okla. He died Dec. 24, 2008.
Ken graduated Miami High School in 1967 and from the University of Houston in 1973. Upon graduation he was enlisted in the army and was a member of the Presidential Honor Guard. After leaving the Army he taught drafting at Stillwater High School for a few years before becoming a homebuilder in Stillwater. He most recently was the owner of AAMCO Transmissions in Tulsa, Okla.
Ken was an avid outdoorsman who played softball and enjoyed water and snow skiing. He spent many a cold morning in a deer stand and countless hours on his fishing dock.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Sutton of the home; daughters, Kenna Gander, husband Derek and son Briggs of Joplin, Mo., Ginger Sutton of Tulsa, Okla., and Jessica Sutton and Mark Mann of Stillwater, Okla. He is also survived by his mother; two sisters, Margie and husband Roy Ross and Kriss and Joe Morgan, and brother Keith and Ruth (Wiebelt) Sutton of Miami, Okla., along with many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father Kenneth Sutton Sr.
Services will be held at the Friends Church of Miami, Okla., on Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made in memory of their beloved husband and father to the Clarehouse, 7324 E 49th Place, No. 3, Tulsa, OK.
Visitation will be held Monday, Dec. 29, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami, Okla.
