Pauline Sherer of Wyandotte died Monday, Oct. 6, 2008, at her daughter's home in rural Wyandotte of a long illness. She was 84.
Mrs. Sherer was born Oct. 28, 1923, in McDonald County, Mo., to Elva and Edith (Ledford) Lagers. She lived in the Seneca, Mo.-Wyandotte area all of her life.
She retired as a cook from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in Miami.
She married Cecil Roland Sherer on Sept. 18, 1941. He preceded her in death in December, 1976. She was also preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Alice Jones and husband Spike of Wyandotte and Carol Elaine Hall of Broken Arrow; one brother, Robert Lagers of Joplin, Mo.; six sisters, Ona Mae Jones and Deloris Harris, both of Claremore, Margie Kelley of Wyandotte, Maxine Hilliard of Jay, and Lorita Hutchins and Shirley Smith, both of Seneca; six grandchildren, Jane Schmidt, Marlene Saengerhousen, Lea Ann Gee, Kathy Daly, Morris Jones and Bryan Jones, and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home in Seneca. Gelda Sue Henson will officiate. Burial will be in Swars Prairie Baptist Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Darren Gee, Alan Schmidt, John Daly, Skip saengerhousen, Dallas Jones and Gene Kelley.
