Brosia Jane Bullard of Grove, formerly of Picher, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007, at the Grove Nursing Center after an illness. She was 82.

Mrs. Bullard was born May 21, 1925, in Baxter Springs, Kan., to O.W. Zeke and Elinor Jane (Sells) Sparks. She had lived in Picher until 1992 when she moved to Grove.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Picher, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 107 of Miami and the Oklahoma Porcelain Artists Club. She was a piano teacher, a church organist and had worked in the office of the Ottawa County Clerk.

Mrs. Bullard was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd L. Bullard, and two sons, K.O. Horine and Bill Horine.

Survivors include a daughter, Jane Ann Duffield of Grove; a son, Jon Horine of Houston, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at the Greenlawn Cemetery northwest of Treece, Kan. The Rev. Dothus Blevins will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Picher.
