Lawanna Sue France of Miami died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007, at her home after an illness. She was 49.
Mrs. France was born April 6, 1958, in Joplin, Mo., to Joe and Linda (Keith) Banard. She lived in the Miami and Commerce areas for the past 30 years. She graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1976.
She worked for Wal-Mart inn Miami for 30 years. She was a member of Southeast Baptist Church in Commerce.
She married Charles E. “Chuck” France Jr. on Aug. 19, 1977, in Wyandotte. He survives, of the home.
Additional survivors include two sons, Chad Eugene France of Miami and Craig Alan France of Tiff City; her mother, of Diamond, Mo.; three brothers, Travis Banard, Bill Banard and Todd Banard, all of Wyandotte; one sister, Brenda DeWees of Diamond, and one granddaughter, Bailey Nicole France.
She was preceded in death by her father and one granddaughter, Shailinn Renea France.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Southeast Baptist Church in Commerce. The Rev. Jerry VonMoss will officiate. Burial will be in G.A.R. Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Travis Banard, Bill Banard, Todd Banard, Jim Long, Keith Tinsley and Devin DeWees. Honorary pallbearers will be Linda Jo Upton, Jimmy Dushane, Gerald Williams and John Headley.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Southeast Baptist Church in Commerce.
Arrangements are under the direction of Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Miami.
