Bill “Hollywood” Powell of Wyandotte died Sunday, July 6, 2008, at his home after a long illness. He was 66.

Mr. Powell was born Sept. 19, 1941, in Alton, Ill., to Shirley Lee and Mary Ann Powell.

He was a Vietnam War veteran of the Navy.

He worked for Thermo Fisher.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Kenna Powell; one son, William H. Powell of Trenton, Fla.; two daughters, Jamie L. Powell-Smull of Ballwin, Mo., and Regina E. Powell of Miami; one brother, Carroal Powell of Bethalto, Ill.; one sister, Delorse Rose of Bethalto, and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, L.D., Floyd, Lloyd and Jack, and one sister, LaVerne.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Wyandotte. The Rev. Danny Burleson will officiate.

The body has been taken for cremation.

Arrangements are under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home in Seneca, Mo.
