Marie K. Gamble of Seneca, Mo., died Wednesday, July 2, 2008, in Seneca after an illness. She was 79.
Marie was born Sept. 9, 1929, to Earl and Magdelena Knapp in Boyd, Wisc.
She married Virgil D. Gamble on June 20, 1947, in Seattle, Wash. He preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 2002.
She is also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Mickey D. Gamble; a granddaughter, Brandee M. Umbarger, and a sister, Lucille D. Burich.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald r. Gamble of Seneca and Thomas E. and his wife Pat Gamble of Webb City, Mo.; three grandchildren, Jody Gamble, Desiree King and Wes Gamble; four great-grandchildren, Lane Umbarger, Nathan Gamble, Logan Gamble and Ella Gamble; three sisters, Jackie and Dean Kiraly, Betty and Duane Clarkson and JoAnne and Joe Jackson, two brothers, Earl David and Carol Knapp and William and Sue Knapp and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 7, 2008, at Williams Timber Hill Cemetery with Father Greg Elliott officiating. Interment will follow at the Williams Timber Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives today from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Langford,Kolby Langford, Rick Hancock, David Rawlins, Aubrey Langford and Casey Sutton.
A dinner will be held following services at Caroline's guest house in Seneca.
