Burdis “Bud” Franklin Nodine of Tahlequah died Sunday, May 13, 2007. He was 82.
Mr. Nodine was born July 29, 1924, in Tahlequah to O.J. and Gleneth (Buckmaster) Nodine. He grew up in Miami and graduated from Miami High School. He returned to Tahlequah in 1971.
He was a retired master sergeant in the Army.
He was a volunteer for the Girl Scouts and a member of the Tahlequah High School band boosters for 16 years, 10 years as a parent and six years as vice president. He was a Falls Creek cook for Southside Baptist Church and a deacon of Northside Baptist Church. He taught Sunday school at Davis Retirement Center.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita M. Nodine; his parents; one sister, Nina Drake, and one brother, Alvie Nodine.
Survivors include three daughters, Juanita Christian, Judy Browning and Vida Berry and her husband Jeremy; three sons and their wives, Ronald and Susie Nodine, Randall and Debbie Nodine and Rodger and Cynthia Nodine; two sisters, Helen Kirksey and Shirley Maynard, and four brothers, Kenneth, Donald, Joe Bob and Lawrence Nodine.
Arrangements were under the direction of Reed-Culver Funeral Home in Tahlequah.
