Pauline Jenneta (Granny) Morgan of Picher, OK, lost her battle with cancer and went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 16, 007, at her home. She was 83.
She was born January 19, 1924, in Melrose, Kan., to Roy and Mildred Tedlock. They precede her in death. She was raised in Hallowell, Kan., where she attended and graduated from Columbus High School.
She maried Charles R. Morgan on April 26, 1941. He preceded her in death in 1980. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Roy Tedlock Jr.; one daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Carmon Black; one daughter-in-law, Karen Morgan, and four grandchildren.
She is survived by four children, Robert and Lou Morgan, Picher, OK, Jim and Virginia Morgan, Miami, OK, Tom and Rene' Morgan, Seabrook, TX, and Junie Mae and Ed Wright, Tacoma, WA. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Bill and Bobbie Morgan of Miami, OK, one sister-in-law, Loraine (Sis) and Bill Dixon of Quapaw, OK, one sister-in-law, Marilyn Tedlock of Hallowell, KS, several nieces, nephews and extended family.
She worked as a cook for several years at a cafe in Seneca, Mo., and later retired from Glen Berry Corp. after moving to the Picher area. She was a member of the Highay Tabernacle in Cardin, OK. She loved her pastor and church family and was devoted to serving the Lord. She enjoyed attending football and other sporting events where she cheered for her favorite team, the Picher Gorillas.
Services will be Monday, Aug. 20, 2007, at 10:05 a.m. at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Picher, OK. The family will receive friends and family Sunday, Aug. 19, 2007, from 4 to 6 p.m. The Reverend Ray Clonts will be officiating the service. Burial will be in Baxter Springs Cemetery in Baxter Springs, Kan. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
