Jack Morris of Sherman, Texas, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007, at his home. He was 70.
Mr. Morris was born Jan. 5, 1937 in Douthat to James and Emma (Cosey) Morris. He grew up in Picher and graduated from Picher High School. He graduated from Missouri Southern University.
He was a veteran of the Air Force. He retired as a supervisor for the State of Oklahoma Deptartment of Human Services and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Morris of Sherman; two sons, Mark Morris and wife Angie of Indianapolis, Ind., and Jack Morris Jr. and wife Katy of Lewisville; six daughters, Kathleen Dobbs of Sherman, Kandy Frye of Hagerstown, Md., Tracy Mack of Luther, Penny Cartwright of Oklahoma City, Susan Glasgow of Bonham, Texas, and Jill Morris of Sherman; one brother, Ed Morris of Nebraska; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro, Texas. The Rev. Harold Watson will officiate.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
