Cindy Michell Dry of Bluejacket died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008, at her home.

She was 42.

Mrs. Dry was born April 4, 1966, in Vinita to Howard (Chief) Veach and Ruby Garrett. After high school and receiving her diploma, she attended college, obtaining an associate’s degree in applied science. She later attended nursing school and became a licensed practical nurse.

The couple made their home in Bluejacket. Cindy was a member of the Gateway Church, an Assemblies of God Fellowship, of Welch. She worked for Healthcare Inovations as Case Manager.

She married Bill Dry on June 26, 1987. He survives.

Additional survivors include her children, Michael and Katie Nair of Welch, Amanda and Jessie Burnett of Commerce and Jordan and Chandler Dry of the home; her mother, Ruby Garrett of Vinita; two sisters and their husbands, Robin and Gary Tullis of Welch and Lisa and Jeff Jackson of Chetopa, Kan.; one brother, Todd Veach of Welch, and five grandchildren, Anna, Hali and Macy Nair and Emma and Lake Burnett.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charlie and Mary (Cates) Martin, and one sister, Lynn Hayes.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Gateway Church in Welch. Pastor Patrick Hankins will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Thomas Funeral Home in Welch.
