Carl William Berry, age 77, of Bernice went home to be with the Lord Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, at Southcrest Hospital in Tulsa.
He was born Oct. 9, 1931, to Mary Ivy (Colvin) Berry and George Berry in Ketchum.
Mr. Berry was a carpenter most of his life and he served in the US Army from 1951 to 1954 during the Korean War.
He lived in the Fullerton, Calif., area, Loveland, Colo., and most of his life in the Picher-Cardin area.
He was proceeded in death by wives, Patty Doloris Turner and later by Cristine Easter. He was also preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers.
He leaves behind one son, Carl Eugene Berry and wife, Betty of Commerce; two daughters, Katherine Gene Williams and husband David of Vinita and Karen Sue and husband Gary Brown of Bernice; eight sisters, Margie Hicks of Miami, Mary T. Lovell of Quapaw, Norma Hasseburg of Picher, Shirley Honeycutt and Jackie Schneider of Texas, Patty Williams of Bluejacket, Judy Walden of Indiana and Debra Hall of Sayre; one brother, Donny Berry of South Carolina; six grandchildren, Robert Green, Kenneth Williams and Leandra Williams, all of Vinita, Erin Bennett of Platt City, Mo., Amber Lynch of Lincoln, Mo., and Andrea Morgan of Columbus, Kan.; 10 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
He was loved and will be missed by many.
There will be a memorial service and dinner at the First Baptist Church in Commerce at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 11.
