Rebecca “Becky” Mae Watson died Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, at her home. She was 50.
Ms. Watson was born July 13, 1958, in Miami, to Buck and Lena Mae (Jackman) Watson. She attained a bachelor of science degree from Oklahoma State University and a master's degree from Northeastern State University.
She worked as a youth director during her college years in Grove at the First United Methodist Church. She was a school administrator in the Clarke County School Districts for the last 15 years; she worked for five years in Oklahoma at Afton, Cushing and Chandler and five years as a teacher before starting her work in administration.
She was preceded in death by her mother on Dec. 6, 1998.
Survivors include her father and his wife, Buck and Sharon Watson of Grove; one sister and her husband, Debra and Anthony Facio of Grove; one brother and his wife, Roger and Danna Watson of Weatherford; one stepsister and her husband, Keni and Eric Iverson of Grove, and one stepbrother and his wife, Derek and Crystal Derwin of Miami.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Grove. The Rev. Randy Hamill will officiate. Burial will be in Fields Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Cook, Keith Fields, Eric Iverson, Derek Derwin, Matt Gault and Jimmy Roberts. Honorary pallbearers will be Dean Barrett and Will Harrington.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.
