Robert D. Wooley age 57, of Miami, Oklahoma passed away, Sunday, September

11, 2011 at his home in Miami. He was born on April 18, 1954 the son of

Bobby & Beverly Ann (Blevins) Wooley.

He was an avid music lover. He enjoyed writing music and playing his guitar

and harmonica. He was an artist, painting pictures for all to enjoy. He was

a poet and wrote many poems on different occasions. He was also proud of his

Indian Heritage and was a member of the Cherokee Nation. He later found out

that he was a descendent of Chief Richard Fields of the Cherokee Tribe. Most

of all he loved his family and always found time to play with his

grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew him.

He was baptized at the young age of 10 and was a member of the Church of

Christ.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Wooley.

He is survived by his wife, Treva, of the home; his mother, Beverley Wooley

of Miami, Oklahoma, 3 sons, Jason Wooley and his wife, Michelle of Oologah,

Oklahoma, Chad Shaw, and his wife Jennifer, of Miami, Oklahoma and Patrick

Wooley, also of Miami. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and other

relatives and friends.

Memorial services for Robert D. Wooley will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday,

September, 14, 2011 at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami, with Rev. Bill

Armstrong, officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until

service time, Wednesday, one hour prior to memorial service at the funeral

home. Inurnment will be held at Ottawa Indian Cemetery at a later date.
