Ronald Wesley Waldron of Miami died June 29, 2008, in Vinita. He was 83.

Mr. Waldron was born March 13, 1925, in rural Miami to Charles and Beulah (Hopkins) Waldron.

He served his country as a member of the Army. He was a longtime employee of BF Goodrich Plant as a tire builder.

Mr. Waldron married Norma Mills on August 14, 1948. She survives, of the home.

The Waldrons resided and raised their family in Miami for over 59 years.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Debbie Singleton of Bartlesville; a son, Keith Waldron of Richfield, Minn.; a sister, Joyce Waldron of Springfield, Mo., and four grandchildren, Jessica Waldron, Stacey Stanley, Lindsay Waldron and Skye Singleton.

Friends serving as pall bearers include Jerry Manning, Brente Manning, Ron Panter, Albert Gilstrap, John Clover and Mike Mills.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at The Church By The Park near Twin Bridges State Park SE of Miami with the Rev. Ken Ferris and Rev. Ed McFall officiating. Interment will follow the service at Ottawa Indian Cemetery.

Family will greet friends for visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home.
