B. Eileen Smith of Seneca, Mo., died Monday, Aug. 4, 2008, at her home after an illness. She was 83.
Mrs. Smith was born Sept. 24, 1924, in Luther to James Raymond and Vera Lela (McCarty) Watts. She was a homemaker and a member of Seneca United Methodist Church.
She married Charles W. Smith on Dec. 9, 1944, in Seneca. He preceded her in death on June 2, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Mac Watts.
Survivors include two sons and their wives, Charles Eugene and Wenona Smith of Webb City, Mo., and Stanley Ray and Janet Smith of Pinehurst, Texas; one daughter and her husband, Charleen Kay and Ray Wilkinson of Iantha, Mo.; one brother and his wife, James Gary and Jo Ann Watts of Crestline, Kan.; two sisters, Norma Helm and Marilyn Gallemore and husband Bill, all of Seneca; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Seneca United Methodist Church. The Rev. Cynthia Royce will officiate. Burial will be in Seneca Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Matt Hymer, Preston Smith, Chris Hymer, Jacob Hymer, Alex Smith and David Riddle. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Mackey, Jamie Rice, Billy Wilkinson and Charles Whitekiller.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home in Seneca.
Memorials are suggested to Seneca United Methodist Church or the Ronald McDonald House in care of the funeral home.
