Gary Gene Hall of Bernice died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007, at home after a lengthy illness. He was 63. 

Mr. Hall was born Jan. 25, 1944, in Joplin, Mo., to Bill and Fredia (Bird) Hall. He moved to Bernice in 1994, coming from Tyro, Kan. 

He was a Vietnam War veteran of the Army. 

He was a self-employed truck driver. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bernice.  He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1052 in Bernice. 

He married Patsy Brown on March 7, 1987, in Miami. She survives, of the home.

Additional survivors include two daughters, Lisa Hall of Oregon and Corena Herndon and husband Marc of Brazil, Ind.; three step-sons, Jeff Graham and Christopher Dunning, both of Bernice, and John Graham and wife Angel of Coffeyville, Kan.; his mother, of Joplin, Mo.; two sisters, Carol Adcox, of Kansas City, Mo., and Vicki Hancock, of Hastings, Neb, four grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and five stepgreat-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his father; two brothers, Tony Hall and William Hall, and one stepson, Victor Todd Dunning. 

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Bernice. The Rev. Butch Miller and Chaplain Darwin King will officiate. 

Pallbearers will be Gordon Mitchell, Christopher Dunning, Darren Mead, Bill Gaertner, Charlie Crittenden, Bill Clifton and Jack Crittenden.

The body will be taken for cremation after the service with a private burial at a later date. 

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Adcock Funeral Home in Afton. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.
