James “Jimmy” Ross Layman died Monday, July 21, 2008, of a sudden illness in Tupelo, Miss.
He was 45
Mr. Layman was born Feb. 15, 1963, in Jay to Ross and Charlotte (Callus) Layman. He attended Grove public schools.
He worked as a track hoe operator for a gas pipeline company.
He married Janet Bennett on May 1, 1996.
Survivors include two children, Colby and Cassidy Layman of Blanco, N.M.; his parents of Jay, and one brother, Michael Layman of rural Grove.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Butler Baptist Church. Jim Hale will officiate. Burial will be in Butler Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home.
