His Air Force career kept the family stationed on the west coast. His dream was to fly one day and he lived that dream, logging in over 10,000 hours of flight time on the C-141 Starlifters. A host of C-141 cargo jets have crossed millions of miles and witnessed history -- they made history! He retired in August 1976.
