Carolynn Sisk passed peacefully from this life on Good Friday morning at Eastwood Manor, Commerce, Okla. Carolynn was born July 11, 1931 to Hermon A. and Amy E. Babst on the family farm south of Fairland, Okla. She graduated from Miami High School and pursued a career as a Registered Nurse. While she had no children of her own; she was forever young. She was an avid bowler, golfer, gardener, and loved to travel.

Carolynn was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church for many years and served as Stewardship Chair, Ruth Guild, and on the Alter Society. She later transferred her membership to St. Paul’s Lutheran in Fairland. She was a devout Lutheran lady and served her congregations diligently. She also served as a volunteer for Baptist Regional Health Center, delivered Meals on Wheels, and served numerous hours for The Red Cross.

Carolynn was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, William, Arnold, Kenneth and Wayne Babst, her sisters Dorthea Crow and her twin Marolynn Lyons, as well as her husband Edwin Sisk.

She is survived by her sister Doris Grayson of Rogers, Ark., her nephews Ken Grayson of Rogers, Ark., Richard Ferola of S.C., William Langley of Minneola, Texas, Nieces; Carol Pruitt of Montana, Karen Crow of Miami, Okla., Sherri Tolman of Oklahoma City, Okla., and special friend Pat Smith of Miami, Okla., as well as her God daughter Samantha Johnson.

There will be a memorial service for Carolynn at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 20 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fairland, Okla. Per her request; the body was donated to OU Medical Science Dept. A burial will be held at a later date at Fairland Lutheran Cemetery for her remains.
