Leon ‘Bud’ McQuistion Sr. of Miami, Okla. passed away Saturday March 4, 2017 at Eastwood Manor in Commerce, Okla.  He was 91.

Bud was born March 26, 1925 in Catalee, Okla. to Miles and Dora (Martin) McQuistion.  He was a lead and zinc miner in Picher, Okla. and also worked in the Coal Mines in Wyoming.  He worked for N.E.O. Railroad, Jake Rosenberg Iron and Metal Co., Miami Iron and Metal Co for 34 years as a crane operator and truck driver. Bud also worked for Ottawa County as a road grader operator. He was a member of Cornerstone Faith Mission Church.  

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers and two sisters

He married Juanita P. Long on January 11, 1944 and she survives of the home.   Additional survivors include his son Leon McQuistion of Miami, Okla., three daughters Carol Ann Rentflow of Quapaw, Okla., Oresa King of Miami, Okla. and Anita Lee Hudson of Okesa, Okla., his grandchildren Donna Sue Rentflow, Miles Everett Rentflow, Bill Joe King, Shawn Dale King, Jack Howard Vandiver, Darrell Vandiver, Angie Tayrien, Melvin Leon McQuistion, Levi McQuistion and Johnny Johnson.  Five great great grandsons and 14 great great granddaughters.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the Wyandotte Cemetery in Wyandotte, Okla.   Bro.
