Richard Gayle ‘Dick’ Clarke, 75, of Stillwater Oklahoma passed away on January 25, 2017 at his home in Miami, OK in the presence of his family.
His father Harry Clarke, and brother Craig Clarke preceded Dick in death. Dick is survived by his wife Sherry Allman Clarke, his mother Doris Clarke, brother Bill Clarke. Dick's two sons and their wives Bart and Lisa Clarke, Bret and Katie Clarke, Dick is survived by his two grandchildren Walker Clarke and wife Jordan, Whitnie Clarke Barrett and Husband Kimroy and great-grandson Harrison T. Barrett.
Dick was born and attended school in Perkins, Okla. He worked as an insurance agent for State Farm in Stillwater, Okla. for 49 years. He enjoyed many hobbies. Over the years, he received his pilot license and loved to fly, he was a Big 8 football official from 1981-1990. Dick and Sherry took many trips in their motor home including motorcycle rallies, and bbq cook-offs with his son. Dick was an avid hunter and outdoorsman; he also enjoyed boating and spending time at the lake with friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4th at Lake Center Baptist Church on Monkey Island, Okla. on Grand Lake. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Miami Animal Alliance, Miami, Okla. or to your favorite charity.
