Carolyn ‘Sue’ Garber, 73, a lifetime Miami resident passed away at Integris Miami Hospital on Monday, January 16, 2017. She was born June 29, 1943 in Winganon, Oklahoma to D. Barney and Beatrice (Hart) Wallace. Sue graduated from Miami High School and went on to work many years as a welder for U.S. Metal Co and also spent many years as an upholsterer and also taught upholstery at the Vo-tech center in Afton, Ok. She worked as a private care giver for many years. Sue loved reading, gardening and sewing and loved and enjoyed her family, grandkids and great grandchildren more than anything. Ms. Garber was preceded in passing by her parents, two sisters, Shirley Lino and Janice Childers and one great-grandson Jonas Morgan.
Survivors include her children, Jerry Alan Garber and wife Sandra of Wyandotte, Okla., Jeffrey Scott Garber and wife Kellie of Fairland, Okla., Dedra Ann Woods and husband Lane of Miami, Okla., the father of her three children Jim Dale Garber of Miami, Okla., a brother Junior Wallace of Miami, Okla., her grandchildren, Brandi Morgan and husband Jeff, Brandon Hale and wife Cesilie, Brenton Hale, Trey Lofgren, Tori Lofgren, CasSondra Berryman and husband Curtis, Megan Tusia and husband Ryan, Jeremy B. Johnson and Austin Woods, along with her great-grandchildren Maison Rentfrow, CamiLynn Berryman, ClaireAnn Berryman, Juniper Tusia, Amaya Kerns, Hadlee Hale, Henleigh Hale, Aubrey Morgan, Garrett Morgan, and Cooper Berryman.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. at Chelsea Cemetery in Chelsea, Oklahoma with Pastor Leon Weece officiating. Interment is under the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami.
