Tommy Leo Timmons of Miami, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, January 14, 2017 at his home, in Miami. He was 86.
He was born September 9, 1930 in Miami, Oklahoma the son of Clarence and Florence (Wagner) Timmons.
He served in the United States Air Force stationed in Japan for three years. He spent most of his life in Miami. He moved away for a few years living in Florida and California, returning to Miami in 1993.
He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Miami and was also a member of the American Legion Post #147 Veterans Funeral Detail and American Legion Post # 147 in Miami.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and four sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Timmons of the home; a son Jack Timmons and his wife, Donna, and a daughter, Debra Matthews and her husband Tommy all of Miami, Oklahoma. Also surviving are five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held, 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the First Assembly of God Church in Miami, Oklahoma with Rev. Raymond Frizzelle and Rev. Larry Pyle, officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home, in Miami. Pallbearers will be Jack Timmons, Tommy Matthews, Brant Clapp, Joe Pal, Jozsef Pal and Destry Blaylock. Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #147. Interment will be in the G.A.R. Cemetery, in Miami at a later date. Services have been placed in the care of Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, Okla.
