Bettye Lou Bradley, 85, of Miami, Okla., went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at Heartland Plaza Residential Care, Miami. 

Bettye was born May 25, 1931 in Delhi, Okla., to the union of Robert and Grace (Palmer) Sanders.  She was united in marriage to Dean Bradley on September 28, 1951, in Bentonville, Ark.  He preceded her in death on October 31, 2016. 

Bettye was raised in Afton, Okla., and graduated Valedictorian at Afton High School.  After attending Business College, she worked for Phillips Petroleum in Bartlesville, Okla., and Neil Norton Motors in Miami, before becoming a full time homemaker.  She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. 

Bettye was a wonderful cook, and never let anyone leave her home hungry!  She enjoyed using her talents as a decorator, crafter, painter, and seamstress, and her love of knitting and crocheting to the delight of many. 

Bettye was a member of Cardin Baptist Church in Miami, and supported her church family with a card and prayer ministry.  Her infectious smile and generous spirit was a blessing to everyone. 

In addition to her husband, Bettye was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter-in-law, Connie Bradley.   

Bettye is survived by her children Mike Bradley of Miami, Okla., Marilyn Pourtorkan and husband Jim of Edmond, Okla. and Debbie Low and husband Fred of Baxter Springs, Kans., seven grandchildren, Kyle and Stephanie Bradley of Tulsa, Okla., Kristen and RionHuffman of Weir, Kans., Justin and Kara Pourtorkan, Arvin Pourtorkan and Derek Pourtorkan all of Edmond, Okla., Bryan and Christina Low of Joplin, Mo. and Renae and Richard Curran of Baxter Springs, Kans., and 11 great grandchildren, Chance and Kyley Curran, Skylar Low, Camden and Anniston Huffman, Luke, Logan and Leighton Bradley and Ethan, Shawn and Landon Pourtorkan.  She is also survived by one sister, Faye (Wilford) Stelts of Hemet, Calif.                       

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, Okla. with Rev. Geoff Buffalo officiating.  Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Afton, Okla. with Buddy Kerley, Gary Pigg, Mike McCoy, Dick Karnes, Dale Heatherly and Danny Burkybile serving as pallbearers.  The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be made at
