William Irvin ‘Bud’ White Jr., 89, of Fairland passed away at his home on Monday, January 2, 2017. Bud was born on October 20, 1927 in Fairland to William Irvin White, Sr. and Jennie (Querry) White. He was a member of the United States Army. He married Betty White on June 9, 1951. He worked for Fairland Public Schools for 12 years, did logging in California and Oregon, and also worked for Eagle Picher. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Jennie White, his wife, Betty, and four sisters, Louise Spurgeon, Lillian Rhoten, Barbara, and Colleen White.
Survivors include his children Carolyn Elmer and her husband Mitch of Fairland, Terry White and his wife Joni of Fairland, and Lisa Stovall of Fairland, six siblings Patsy, Joe, Lee, Lucky, Sally, and Jim, along with seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2017 at Sulphur Bend Cemetery in Fairland with Pastor Christopher Elmer officiating under the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairland.
