Donald D. Hutson of Commerce, Okla. passed away Monday, January 02, 2017 at his home.  He was 89.

Don was born July 15, 1927 in Commerce, Okla. to Charles and Ollie Mae (Canon) Hutson.   He was a lifetime Commerce resident and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII 1945-1949 on the U.S.S. Midway as a Machinist 3rd Class.  He worked for B.F. Goodrich from February 24, 1955 to February 1, 1986 when he retired.  Don was a member of V.F.W. Post  147 and Miami Elks Lodge No 1320 in Miami, Okla.  He was also a member of Southeast Baptist Church in Commerce, Okla. 

Don was preceded in death by a daughter Nancy Sha-Lea Helmick, his parents, two brothers, Charles  L.D. Hutson and Glennis Hutson and two sisters Helen Hanavan, and Georgia Johnston. 

Survivors include his son Mitchell Hutson and wife Leah of Commerce, Okla., a daughter Dalene Rundell of Trinidad, Texas,  grandchildren  Dylan Hutson, Daniel  Hutson, Justin Rundell and wife Kim, Kelli Stanfield and husband Rick,  Jeremy Rundell and wife Loretta and David Jamon Helmick and eight great grandchildren. 

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the Southeast Baptist Church in Commerce, Okla.  Rev. Leroy Orr will officiate.  Interment will be in Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens in Miami, Okla.   Military Rites will be conducted by American Legion Post # 147 Funeral Detail.  Grandchildren will service as Pallbearers.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Commerce, Okla.   Online condolences may be made at www.paulthomasfuneralhomes.com.
