A Miami man was federally indicted on child pornography charges Monday.

Peter Helmut Becker, 60, was arrested Monday and transported to Tulsa to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, where he was indicted on several charges of possessing child pornography.

Through the investigation, authorities discovered numerous items of child pornography in his B NE home.

“Becker admitted to child pornography being on his computer,” said Ernst. “I drafted a second search warrant for the child pornography and had the computer forensically examined. A large amount of child pornography was located on the computer.”

Becker is a registered sex offender.

According to court documents, Becker was convicted in 2002 for traveling to Illinois on the pretense of meeting an underage girl for sex.

Becker is the latest of a number of sexual preditors removed from the streets by local law enforcement.
