A Jay man was killed Friday morning when his motorcycle collided with a pick-up in Delaware County.

James Levy Black, 50, died at a Joplin, Mo., hospital after his motorcycle struck a pickup that had failed to yield and entered into Black's path, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the accident occurred at approximately 5:40 a.m. when Black's 2006 Suzuki was northbound on Oklahoma Highway 10 about a mile northeast of Grove.

The motorcycle hit the 1998 Ford F-150 pick-up. Black was thrown an undetermined length and pinned for approximately 20 minutes, troopers said.

The driver of the truck, Kenneth A. Crowder, 60, of Grove, was not inured, troopers said. He reportedly was wearing a seat belt.

Black was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, troopers said.
