According to Glenda Longan, Miami's Emergency Management Director, the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (ODEQ) conducted testing this morning, March 28, 2012 of the City’s water and has lifted the suggested boiling order for the City of Miami’s southwest section of town. This section of the city was without water last weekend due to a 12 inch water main issue and was the only section affected.

Longan said, “The Water Department would like to thank every citizen for their patience and concerned comments for the City of Miami employees while they worked to restore water to this section of town.”
