Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, in conjunction with the Miami Area Chamber of Commerce, will co-host Lt. Gov. Todd Lamb on campus Thursday as he addresses local leaders and area citizens through a town hall meeting.
He will speak at 11 a.m. In NEO's Commons Hall Auditorium at 200 I Street NE in Miami.
The purpose of Lamb's trip will be to visit one-on-one with residents to discuss economic development, tourism, job creation and additional local issues pertinent to northeast Oklahoma.
"Oklahoma is a diverse state full of great people," said Lamb. "As lieutenant governor, I have the unique opportunity to travel to the various corners of our state, investing time in our citizens, and hearing their concerns about various issues."
"Oklahoma is on the cusp of a renaissance," continued Lamb. "Listening to local citizens from far northeast Oklahoma will help define where our priorities need to be as we continue to thrive and move Oklahoma forward."
Lamb's meeting will be open to the public.
"We appreciate Lt. Gov. Lamb's strong support for far northeast Oklahoma and are honored to have him speak on the campus of Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College," said Dr. Jeff Hale, NEO's president. "Lamb is a dedicated public servant, and we are thrilled that the lieutenant governor will be on campus for such an important community event."
