COMMERCE - A special meeting of the Commerce City Council set for 6 p.m. today has been cancelled.
City officials announced the cancellation Monday afternoon.
Council members were expected to discuss appointments to two council seats vacated by Bob Crawford and Jack Julian who both recently resigned from their elected positions.
The meeting agenda also included discussion of the removal of Crawford's name from all city bank accounts at Welch State Bank and 1st State Bank of Commerce.
Monday's announcement of the cancellation did not include an explanation for the delay.
The meeting has not yet been rescheduled.
