Auditions will be held Monday and Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. for Miami Little Theatre's upcoming production of Jean Shepherd's "A Christmas Story." The show will be presented at the Coleman Theatre December 1-4.

The play revolves around the character of "Ralphie," an elementary student who desperately wants a Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas, much to the dismay of his parents. The story is set in the 1940s and was made into a wildly successful television movie that has become a holiday staple.

The show calls for two men, two women, five boys, and from two to eight girls. It will be directed by Judy Pitman, assisted by Pamela Catt.

Try-outs will be held at the MLT Building, north of the Coleman Theatre.
